Updates!

After making one widget featuring my blogger buddies’ books (see left side bar – bottom) I realized I’d missed some, so I made a second one. A few books I couldn’t find (the widget is through Amazon) and I apologize. Hopefully I’ve featured one book from everyone!

I will be taking Fridays off through July so I can complete all the revisions for CassaStorm. I’ll still be visiting, but I won’t be posting.

And… the book trailer for CassaStorm should be ready soon! My publisher asked for three key taglines, and other than shorter than the first two trailers, I don’t know anything else about it. I’m really eager to see it, though!

Wednesday Movie Quote

Today’s genre – superhero films!

I have to go with The Avengers:

“Puny god.”

Next week – water movies! (You may interpret that any way you like.)

Yahhy to you for taking some time off to focus on, uhm, YOU :)

GOOD LUCK with all the revisions:)

  2. Good luck with all your revisions!

  3. The Wolverine movie is making me nervous but looking forward to RED 2 and some minions shenanigans!

    ReplyDelete
  4. RIPD looks hilarious. D2 and Turbo are so on my list. Hulk's quote is so funny and I'm definitely nominating an author later today. Thanks for all the news Alex.

  5. I quote from "Superman"... Clark Kent... said "SWELL" and Lois corrects him... I am always saying it...

Just like all within this post and updates, I really must say "Neato"....

  6. Sadly, I won't go to any movies. I wait for them to be released. But I would love to see Despicable Me 2. I loved the first one and thought it was totally cute!

    ReplyDelete
  7. You pick my favourite superhero quote. :)

As I see many good films will come the movie theatres. I'll probably go to see the Despicable Me 2 with 2/3 of my children.
I'd like to watch the other movies as well, but I think it'll imposible to me.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I will look forward to your trailer of Cassastorm. Good luck with it.

    Yvonne.

  9. dude, the puny god scene from the avengers is the best...ha...my fav in the movie...and best wishes on the revisions this month for you...cant wait to see the trailer..
johnny depp in the lone ranger is...i dunno, we shall see..

    ReplyDelete
  10. Looking forward to the CassaStorm trailer!

Curious how the Lone Ranger will go. As for Despicable Me 2...I just read a post that claimed that comedy sequels never do well. Thought that was a very sweeping statement for a major site, but then I couldn't think of any that had!

    ReplyDelete
  11. i am really interested in seeing Lone Ranger. And I actually want to see R.I.P.D. because of the unique premise. Originality goes a long way as far as I'm concerned!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Of course everyone's excited about your trailer!

Samantha's competition sounds right up my street - might have to check that out. Thanks for the heads up!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Can't wait to see your trailer. Just yesterday in Spanish class I learned that 'tonto' in Spanish means fool. I can't believe through out the years, no one caught this awful slight to Native Americans. But I must admit, with Johnny Depp in the movie, I will see it, though I shall cringe when I hear 'tonto'.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Good quote, Jeremy.

Zoltan, I know I'll be seeing Despicable Me 2.

    Brian, it was the best!

Elizabeth, Madagascar 2 and 3 did well. I think the animated ones do much better.

    Leigh, I didn't know that.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Woot! Can't wait to see your book trailer!
Omg, it's almost July already ... it's going so fast ...
As usual, lots of movies I want to go see ;)

  16. Alex!!!

    Happy Wednesday!

Friday's off in July? Well, I guess if you're writing the final installment in your series that it would be okay. :)

Let's hope The Wolverine is just about him kicking ass and being surly. He does that best.

I had to go back and add my movie quote! I forgot again until I saw yours.

    Have a great day!
    Heather

    ReplyDelete
  17. Most of the July ones look appealing, still not sold on the Lone Ranger though, Depp is waay overrated, at least imo. Taking Fridays off, geez, need to get 50 posts ahead haha

    ReplyDelete
  18. I saw the trailer for The Wolverine, and it looked pretty good.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Aww man! Thanks for the shoutout!

Pacific Rim looks awesome. RIPD looks like MIB. I mean, almost down to the dialogue.

I have mixed feelings about Lone Ranger. It's something to do with Depp playing Tonto and using stereotypical "indian" speak, and i'm aware they're trying to pay homage to the original, but if the original was kind of racist, is that a good idea? I dunno. It just feels a little squishy to me, so i'll probably avoid it in theaters (that and there are so many other movies out i want to see, so i doubt i'd have the time anyway)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lol I like how pithy your movie quotes are, Alex :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I saw the previews to RIPD and even tho I'm not a Ryan Reynolds fan the movie looks fun. And I am definitely on board with Despicable Me :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Good luck with your revisions. I can't wait to see the Cassa Storm trailer! :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Pacific Rim and Turbo are what I look forward to most next month. Awesome preview, and awesome news. Rudy's Fire has a smart cover! :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I was thinking I should wait for WWZ to hit Netflix since I rarely get to the theater these days.

I'm quite excited about several films coming out. I'll wait for your review of Pacific Rim before renting it.

Great widget for the books. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Minions! Love those guys! The ride at Universal is so much fun. :)

    That RIPD sounds...interesting. I'm a Kevin Bacon fan, but I don't know....

    ReplyDelete
  26. Best of luck with your Cassastorm revisions and yeah, looking forward to seeing the trailer! Also, thanks for the Ruby's Fire mention.

    ReplyDelete
  27. The widgets are awesome!

Good luck with your revisions! Can't wait to see the book trailer too! The other two have been fantastic!

R.I.P.D. looks like a fun movie, although I don't know if I'd go to see it in a movie theater.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Heather, need to finish polishing.

Sarah, you're welcome. I'll wait for Lone Ranger reviews first.

    Damy, short and simple!

Isis, you know I'll have a review.

    Catherine, you're welcome.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Great movie quote.

I've always been fond of Bruce Banner's line (before transformation), "I'm always angry."

    ReplyDelete
  30. we love that quote, especially when you add to it the irony of Loki's speech about Hulk being beneath him, and Bruce Banner's reluctance to be Hulk, and Loki's trying to unleash the beast. one of my other fav quotes from Avengers is, "there's only one God, ma'am, and i'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that."

we'll be watching Lone Ranger and Red 2. looking forward to both of them.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Congrats on the CassaStorm progress. Can't wait to see the trailer!

My kids LOVED Despicable Me. Guess we'll have to see DM2... :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm like you on the "undead police."

    ReplyDelete
  33. July looks like it will have the most movies I will want to see on the big screen, so I'm really looking forward to that.

I also can't wait to see the CassaStorm trailer. The others have been really awesome.

Congratulations to Sarah. I'll go by and congratulate her on her blog too.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I like that tagline for Ruby's Fire. And I'm so glad you pointed out that book widget. So cool! I can't wait to see your book trailer.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Alex - Can't wait to see the new trailer. YAY!!!

And the movies: several look amazing. But I'm most excited to see Despicable Me 2.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really like the Amazon app!

I am excited for Red 2 and Despicable Me 2. Of course, I'm trying to see World War Z still. I read the book but I heard the movie isn't like the book.

Enjoy your Friday's in July, Alex.

    ReplyDelete
  37. You are always so great promoting blogger friends' books, Alex!!

And I don't mind any day that is a Ryan Reynolds day! :)

Out of those movies though, I want to see Despicable Me 2. Today I'm taking the kids to see Monsters University because it's raining. AGAIN!

    ReplyDelete
  38. There's like FIVE movies I want to see in July! FIVE! Now it's the matter of finding time to see them on the big screen and cramming them all in! I definitely want to see The Lone Ranger and R.I.P.D. I still have to reconsider the sequels - Despicable Me 2, Grown Ups 2, and Red 2. I saw all the original films in theatres and I prefer seeing most of the sequels on the big screen.

I am seeing a slew of movies in theatres this weekend! I'm gonna see the hilarious The Heat, finally gonna give zombies a chance with World War Z, and ANOTHER White House invasion with White House Down. Are you going to see any movies this weekend, Alex?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Congrats to Catherine. I just read a post about her book that has me excited to read it.

And yes, who doesn't love those cute little minions?!

    ReplyDelete
  40. That's a pretty cool widget thing, but it takes a long time to scroll through the books. I'll have to come back later and watch the scroll.

I need to set up a page with suggested indie books. I've been meaning to for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hi Alex .. lots of good info here -but the one that interested me was The Guardian ... I've submitted your name .. and need to go back and enter some other self-published authors ... which I'll do ..

I doubt I'll get to any movies this month ..

    Cheers -Hilary

    ReplyDelete
  42. Good luck with the revisions, Alex!! You're probably the busiest person out there!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks, Cherie!

    Eternal, that's a good one.

    Michelle, excellent quote.

Charles, it just doesn't sound... good.

    Thanks, Michael.

    RaShelle, who can resist Minions?

Elsie, just pretend you never read the book.

Kelly, you will be busy seeing Reynolds movies that day!

Livia, you're going to be busy! I might go see White House Down.

Andrew, I had a page, it just became too hard to maintain. Too many books!

Hilary, thanks! Sadly I don't qualify though.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Best of luck with revisions to your book:) It's a lot of work, but very worthwhile:)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hi Alex. I apologize for not visiting in a long while. I have no excuses other than I've been swamped with life.

    I hope all is well.

I'm not sure about the lone ranger. I love JD, but the clips look so familiar to the pirate world, I have my doubts. I finally saw Star Trek. Wow what a great flick. It was so reminiscent of the original series for me. I plan on seeing Despicable Me 2 with my kids next week. Hope it's a good one. :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. There's a couple of movies in your list I want to see but probably not until they're released to DVD.

Aside from the one you use, which I loved, there was a quote that made me laughed. The delivery was fabulous.

Thor: Loki is beyond reason, but he's of Asgard and he's my brother.
Black Widow: He killed 80 people in 2 days.
    Thor: He's adopted

    Just cracked me up.

Enjoy your Friday's off from blogging.

  47. Hooray! I actually know the movie quote :-D

I love book trailers! I can't wait to see yours.

Enjoy your month of Fridays. I hope your Ninja powers kick in full-gear so the revisions are done quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Exciting news! Maybe I will see Despicable Me 2.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Great news! Can't wait to see your new trailer. Some good movies coming out next month.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the Lone Ranger will be a huge hit (you heard it here, first!), though I'm not too sure about R.I.P.D.

Best of luck with the revisions and looking forward to that trailer :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. I had a feeling your quote would be from THE AVENGERS. Always nice when you go and prove me right:)

I saw Mark's comment about the LONE RANGER being a hit... I think he is right. Johnny Depp is on a roll and this is just his sort of film. I think it is going to do really well. As we all know, comic book/super hero films are doing really well at the box office these days. Who doesn't love The Lone Ranger???? I remember loving the old TV shows. Just sayin.'

Revisions. Revisions. Revisions. Who can stand it????

    ReplyDelete
  52. Congrats to everybody with a new book out. Your movie listing is quite exciting.

    ReplyDelete
  53. You are most definitely the epitome of a good guy! And now you just thought ah shucks, so that makes you the epitome of humility too!

Best of luck on the revisions. You will rock it.

And I love that quote from Avengers. Excellent scene. Gives Hulk such personality!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'll have to check out Misha's awards. Congrats to all of the authors, and I'm also very excited about your upcoming trailer! Thanks for the movie update too.

    Julie

    ReplyDelete
  55. LOVE that quote from The Avengers! That scene always gets a laugh out of me! Oh, and I finally watched the new Star Trek movie last night - was fantastic!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'm definitely seeing the Lone Ranger, maybe even drag my hubby along. Maybe on Wolverine. I wait to Redbox Pacific Rim.
I bet you new video will be great like the last ones.

    ReplyDelete
  57. The four issue mini-series that I assume is the basis for the Wolverine film was a masterpiece-so I have high hopes for the film.

I saw Red without any knowledge of the graphic novels, and thought the film was great. I have to believe the sequel will follow suit.

The Lone Ranger looks interesting-Johnny Depp certainly never plays it safe, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Can't wait to see your trailer, Alex!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Congrats, Catherine!

Alex, good luck on your revisions.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Can't wait to see the trailer!

    Favorite superhero film quote...

"You wanna know how I got these scars?"

I'm so pumped for Despicable Me 2. I wish I had those minions around all the time just so I can hear them say "Whaaaa?"

    ReplyDelete
  61. I LOVE book trailers. Can't wait to see your latest!

THE LONE RANGER is tops on my list for this summer.

    ReplyDelete
  62. The CassaStorm news is so (shivery) exciting.

There are so many movies to see right now, it's making me crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hope you work fester with revisions and stay very satisfied!

    ReplyDelete
  64. I already know I'm going to see the Despicable Me sequel -- I *love* the minions! So friggin cute.

I hadn't heart of RIPD before. Maybe like Ghost, but with more vengeance? And Jeff Bridges? I'd rate that a maybe.

As for superhero quotes, I love me some Rorshach: "Never compromise. Not even in the face of Armageddon."

    ReplyDelete
  65. Revise your heart out, man! You are amazing!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Revise your heart out, man! You are amazing!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Congratulations on the trailer. Wow. Sounds so professional. Good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Good luck to Catherine and her new release! Lots of good movies coming out. Lone Ranger and Despicable Me II head tbe list.

    ReplyDelete
  69. You can do it ;D

ooh, I bet your trailer will be amazing, with great music of course!

I can't help but laugh every time I see the Lone Ranger. My daughter hasn't seen any previews. We were out and about and I started talking about the Lone Ranger. She said, "Oh, is that a nickname for your boyfriend?!" lol
Yes, the Lone Ranger is my boyfriend I told her, as I pointed at the cardboard cut out...so funny!

Off to make the rounds-stay cool!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Love MIsha's awards, and love your movie previews! Looking forward to Despicable Me 2 and Wolverine.
Thanks for your super positive posts, Alex!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Mina, that's all right. I think Despicable Me 2 will be great.

Sia, that's one of my favorites!

Mark, Depp knows how to draw the crowds.

Robin, I don't want to prove you wrong. And I enjoy revisions. I know, I'd odd that way.

    Thanks, Elizabeth!

Rachel, best movie of the year.

Larry, I've never read the graphic novels, but the first movie was awesome.

Samantha, good one. And Minions are funny.

Nickie, you pulled out a good quote!

    ReplyDelete
  72. I can't wait to see Despicable Me2 and The Lone Ranger!

Enjoy having Friday's off. Hope the editing goes well. :)

  73. Good luck with the revisions, looking forward to publishing date.

I was very disappointed in Despicable Me and didn't watch it all so won't be watching this one.

    ReplyDelete
  74. SO excited for Wolverine and Despicable Me 2!!! Awesome movies! And can't wait to see your trailer :D

    ReplyDelete
  75. Looking forward to both your trailer and book!

Out of that group of movies, I'll probably see The Lone Ranger and R.I.P.D.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Congrats to Catherine! Ruby's Fire is an amazing read.

And that's a really neat project Sam is involved with. She's such a good writer.

Sounds like book #3 is looming for you. That's major exciting.

Of the group, Lone Ranger is the only one I'm interested. I'll probably be forced into watching Wolverine at some point.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Can't wait to see your trailer, though I need to read book two first. I tend to do all I can to avoid spoilers, since they stalk me.

I really want to see The Lone Ranger, I used to watch the old TV shows. And this one has Johnny Deep as an Indian, can't get much better than that.

Also, I think Red would be a lot of fun, but I have to see the first one first. My family said it was really funny, but haven't watched it again. (If it is anything like me seeing the last Mission Impossible it will still be awhile before I see it.)

    ReplyDelete
  78. Despicable Me 2 is first on my list. I love minions.

Can't wait to see the book trailer.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Oooo... I can't for the book trailer! Will mini Alex be in it???

    ReplyDelete
  80. Yay for revisions, good luck!
Will be looking out for the trailer ;)

    ReplyDelete
  81. I'm not sure I'm ready for this new updated Lone Ranger but I've got to see Johnny Depp doing Tonto. The movie I'm really excited about is RED 2. I loved the first one. If only they hadn't killed off Morgan Freeman.

    ReplyDelete
  82. 'It ain't as easy as it used to be.'
Is Indiana Jones considered a Superhero.

July looks like an interesting movie month. I love me a 'Western' and 'Red2' should be good. Not to mention the minions.

Lookin' towards that book trailer, also.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I want to see Pacific Rim just because it has Charlie Hunnam in it. I'm a huge SOA fan :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. I am excited to see your trailer! And I definitely like your pick of superhero quote. I'm super stoked to see The Lone Ranger, because I think it'll be awesome, and Wolverine, because I want to see Hugh Jackman partially clothed :)

    ReplyDelete
  85. I look forward to your trailer.

    Congrats to Catherine.

  87. I need to update and put more books into my Amazon widget. Right now it is books I've read, read and reviewed, or want to read. But I have to go through my lists and find more books to add to it.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I'm excited about seeing the video for CassaStorm!
    Uhm...RIPD? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Mary, it's looming all right.

    Jack, watch Red soon!

    Morgan, probably not...

LD, I know, I'll miss his character.

    Faraway, I think he is.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Holy cow, Alex, those widgets are amazing!
Can't wait to see your book trailer! :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Have fun with the revisions :P Kudos for being almost there, wow! I for one am excited for the trailer. You're about to have a TRILOGY. That's huge!

That's my favorite scene in Avengers. I've watched that part over and over and it still makes me laugh.

Lone Ranger, Des.2, Red2 and R.I.P.D. My husband actually got to see part of the filming while he was in Boston.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Good luck with revisions!!!

I can't wait to see Despicable Me 2 & The Wolverine! Two must sees on my list. Thanks for reminding me of their release. :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. Red 2 I want to see the most of those films. Red (the first one) was funny and the characters were a hoot.

Good luck with editing CassStorm, Alex. Since I'm in editing mode too I know just what you're going through -- not enough time, not much fun, and so much work.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Congrats Sarah and Catherine!
Good luck on your revisions, Alex! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  95. That's exciting news re: CassaStorm. I'm looking forward to seeing RED 2 and The Wolverine.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Thanks, Words! And very cool your husband saw some of it being filmed.

Helena, I do enjoy it, just need time for it.

    Thanks, everyone!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Once again, it seems we're going to have a very Super Hero-y summer. I have to admit, I think the Lone Ranger looks good. Finally, "Puny god" is my favorite quote, too.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Oops, I'm going to have to keep this comment short by my usual rambling standards. Almost four in the morning and I have to be up and about in four hours. Yikes!

Nice shout out to Misha. Hi Misha.
And oh my, Samantha has pleaded with me, slight exaggeration, to get involved with her Tree of Life, whatever it is. Stay tuned, I must be cracking up. Look forward to your book trailer, Alex. I don't know where you find the time to write a book.

Time to check my eyelids for cracks......

    ReplyDelete
  99. I am SO absurdly excited about Despicable Me 2. The first one if the cutest movie I've ever seen- EVER!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Next time I see my nephew, I'd like to watch Despicable Me 2 with him. After he saw the first one, he kept calling me and everything "is-pickable".

Thanks for referring someone over to me to help with something top secret, Alex.

    Be well.

  101. I'm lucky enough that I'll be with friends the weekend of the Pacific Rim debut. I'm definitely scrounging tickets for us.

And congratulations on getting so close to the end of CassaStorm, man! That's really big, and wonderful for you.

The quote, naturally, is from Hulk.

  102. Next month is a good month to be a geek :)

Looking forward to seeing the CassaStorm trailer!

  105. Good luck with revisions!

    Congratulations to Sarah and Catherine!

I look forward to each of these movies (except maybe Turbo, which I'll have to see anyway). I loved Red, and I hope this one is equally good. I'm always afraid they'll ruin a good thing. I don't know much about RIPD, but I do like the actors.

  106. Ooh, I can't wait to see the trailer! Since, well, you know. It'd be nice to have some visuals. I have a free movie ticket about to expire in a few days. Think I might go see that White House Down flick. Have a great weekend!

  107. I wanna see the trailer and read the book! I could spend hours just watching those widgets of books by your army.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Love your widget! Hopefully you will be able to put my book there this year. Looking forward to seeing your trailer and reading your book :)Puny God....Ha ha ha, love that one! Still waiting to see Man of Steel and looking forward to the Lone Ranger.

  109. Gary, I don't know where I find the time either...

Robyn, I knew you would dig the idea!

John, I can see the end of the tunnel!

    Moody, that made me chuckle.

Shannon, if they stick with the formula, Red 2 should be great.

Siv, I'll be happy to place your book there soon!

  110. Great quote. So that undead cop movie could either be really clever (if done well) or really stupid. So far I'm not having a lot of faith. Looking forward to Red 2 though.

Good luck on those revisions! That is always my least favorite part of writing.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Congrats to Catherine on her new book! Best of luck to you with revisions. I've had my head down the same dark hole for weeks now. I'm still there. Just thought I'd pop in to say hi!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Misha is awesome!

Pacific Rim and RIP look like fun romps!

Looking forward to your trailer, can you direct me to the place to get this done, or did your publisher do it?

    ReplyDelete
  113. The previous trailers were amazing. I'm really excited to see your new one once it's ready.

    Pacific Rim!

  114. I took my little guy and middle son to see Epic a couple of weeks ago. My small guy started making the wee-do sounds with the minion during the Despicable Me 2 preview. And then about 20 other preschoolers joined him. It was priceless. I'm kind of annoyed there aren't more kid movies out right now. We tried Monsters University but it was too scary. Boo.

  115. How did I miss another Wolverine film being released? I liked the Origins one! I just love the X-Men though. They're my favorite superheroes.

Happy reading and writing! from Laura Marcella @ Wavy Lines

  116. Um, The Wolverine. YES! As I am sure you can guess, I can't wait for this.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Thought I'd let you know Horse Power (science fiction) will be free at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Horse-Power-ebook/dp/B00AYLJ4QG/ July 7-9. Can send the cover if you'll tell me where.

    ReplyDelete
  118. July is going to be pretty amazing with Pacific Rim and Wolverine in the same month. Sadly though, early tracking suggests "Grown Ups 2" could beat "Pacific Rim." What?!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Misha's so great. She's always doing something to take care of others! And enjoy your Fridays off, Alex, make sure to toss some fun time into the mix!!!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Hi Alex,
    This is wonderful!
    Great Going,
    Keep it up.

  124. Brandon and Bryan, fortunately it's my favorite.

Candilynn, good to hear from you!

Yolanda, my publisher creates my trailers. Several of my blogger buddies create ones for other author though.

    Thanks, Rusty.

    Tonja, that is cute.

    Maurice, I'm not buying it!!!

    Thanks, everyone!

  125. Can I ask, does John McClane count as a superhero -- totally does in my book. In which case:

Hans Gruber: Do you really think you have a chance against us, Mr. Cowboy?
    John McClane: Yippee-ki-yay, mother**cker.

    Still cracks me up! :)

Thanks for rounding up all the great news!

  126. Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing the trailer for CassaStorm. My Mom and I went to see World War Z in 3-D on Tuesday (great spooky fun!), and I saw the trailers for RIPD (yep - I want to see it) and Pacific Rim. Kind of reminded me of RoboCop/Terminator on a giant scale! Hope the revisions go smoothly for you. It will be so nice when you're finished and can get on with the fun stuff! :)

    ReplyDelete
  127. I want to see Despicable Me 2. Turbo looks like it might be fun.

    Congrats on your trailer.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I can't wait to see Lone Ranger and RIPD.

LOL, I remember that movie quote. Way cool.

  131. I don't know about the Wolverine movie. He is my favorite Marvel character, though I've shied away from the movies. I had hopes for this one because I'd heard it was to be based on the 1982 limited series by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller - but alas, no. We'll see.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Hubby and I will be going to see The Lone Ranger. I saw Red... so funny, so I'm looking to seeing Red2 too. :)

    ReplyDelete
  133. Hey, Alex,

  139. Martina, I think he counts! Awesome quote.

    Lynda, thanks!

Squid, it could go either way.

Thanks, Michael! And sometimes we have to pull back just a little. Especially if people are yelling at us, right?

    Thanks, Nicki.

Lee, you have my permission to watch it a hundred times!

  145. I was going to say something and then I saw Wolverine and it shot right out of my head.

  146. We will be seeing ALL THE MOVIES!!! I'm excited that we have a bevy of awesome movies coming out after last year's totally lame offerings. THIS summer there are MANY movies I'm looking forward to seeing! Including all the ones you just listed.

We're going to see White House Down tonight, mainly because 1) there's nothing else playing that we haven't already seen and 2) we're in the mood to watch a train wreck. We expect this movie to satisfy that urge, lol. Now, if only we could watch it Mystery Science Theater 3000-style. :)

    ReplyDelete
  147. Congratulations on the work you're putting in on your book. That's great. Also, I just watched The Avengers over again last night, and that was the best line and the end of the best scene!

I'm looking forward to seeing World War Z. I've just gotta go. Writer’s Mark

  148. I can't wait to see your trailer... should be really good:) Hmmm, no movie quotes jump out at me right now. But I do know I can't wait to watch Wolverine:)

    ReplyDelete
  149. Alex, I'm thrilled for you to be so close to finishing up the Cassa series. Revisions on the third book. You are on the homestretch of a great ride, buddy.

    ReplyDelete
  150. the trailer for wolverine is interesting...it looks to be int he same vein as the original xmen movies and will bridge the gap to days of future past...which i am looking forward to...i am such a sick fanboy...ha....

    ReplyDelete
  151. Great movie quote. Revisions...never fun, but worthwhile. Or maybe you find them fun, I don't know. I hate editing. But hope it goes well.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Carol, it's all I can do to run my own!

    Whisk, that made me chuckle.

Ali, this year rocks compared to last year. And I'd so like to see it MST3K style. Mike and the Bots would have a blast.

Suze, it has been a great ride...

Nigel, I do find them fun.

  153. The Lone Ranger was one of my heroes in childhood, I did not miss any comic!

    ReplyDelete
  154. Good luck with the Cassastorm revisions Alex!

  155. Looking forward to seeing your trailer, Ninja Captain Alex:)

  156. Ironman aka Tony Stark "Is it better to be feared or respected? I say, is it too much to ask for both?"

    ReplyDelete
  157. I would love to play Pay It Forward. I'll check it out. As for movies, it has been a while..I would love to go watch a movie, with someone :)

    ReplyDelete
  158. Looking forward to seeing The Lone Ranger, should be good and I am a Johnny Depp fan, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Looking forward to your trailer! We're seeing The Lone Ranger next week, and I hope it's good. Seriously though, why the dead crow on Tonto's head?

    ReplyDelete
  160. Pacific Rim is the movie I'm most excited to see. It looks like the perfect movie theater experience. :)

    ReplyDelete
  161. I'm excited to se ethe Cassa trailer and Despicable Me. Other than that - not much in the theater is particularly appealing right now. I did see Cloud Atlas on DVD, and while it was at times difficult to disentangle, I found it time well spent.

    ReplyDelete
  162. One of my fave movies quotes is by Logan to Kayla in X-Men Origins: Wolverine

"I thought you were the Moon and I was your Wolverine. Turns out you're the Trickster, and I'm just the fool who got played."

This quote is so tragic and inspired one of my stories. I am looking forward to the new one coming out.

    ReplyDelete
  163. I'd love to see the trailer for Cassastorm when it's ready!

I saw a Wolverine-themed movie years ago, but I think I skipped one along the way. So I feel I need to catch up on the one I missed before I move ahead to the next one.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Cannot wait to see Wolverine and Pacific Rim. I actually loved Wolverine's Origin film and thought it was very well done. Jean Grey is going to be in this? Yuck! I never liked her because she always chose that wimp Cyclops.

"I am Iron Man." LOL Love Tony Stark and think he's the best hero ever.

    ReplyDelete
  165. The CassaStorm trailer sounds awesome! And I'm excited for all the movies coming out this month, especially The Lone Ranger, Wolverine and Pacific Rim.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Neat widget! Already sent my nominations to Misha. :) Regarding movies, I'm still waiting for Ender's Game and the next Hobbit.

    ReplyDelete
  167. I want to see Heat. Sandra Bullock is so good.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Many thanks, Alex, for the shout out -- You rock! I really appreciate it:) My apologies for getting here so late *spent last Weds. over at Ellie's site and didn't realize until now, you had mentioned the collaboration on the same day* On a completely unrelated note - The Heat was so damn funny, I thought my very pregnant friend Amy was going to go into labor we laughed so hard! If you need some comic relief, I highly recommend it:)
